VII. THE STARS AND PLANETS

Please Note:

I am in the process of revising the contents of this chapter. There has been much progress in new theories concerning the origin of the universe in the last two years. Five authors who have contributed significantly to this effort:

Dr. D. Russell Humphreys with his white-hole cosmology and his book Starlight and Time,
Dr. Danny Faulkner and Ron Samec who have helped sort through and eliminate some of the arguments used in the past,
Dr. Barry Setterfield who has introduced the possibility that the speed of light has decayed over time,
and Dr. Robert Herrmann whose cosmological theories appear on this web site.
I also want to acknowledge fellow RAE creation scientist Doug Fortney who is assisting in an effort to establish a creationist observatory.

The explanations these scientists are working on are superior to the creationist cosmogonies that appeared in my book when the second edition came out a few years ago. Another scientist who has significant contributions to this effort is Donald DeYoung, a physics professor at Grace College. He has written a book called Astronomy and The Bible which contains many of the latest evidences for a created cosmos. Dr. Humphreys' book and Dr. DeYoung's book are available from Master Books 1-800-999-3777 or the Institute for Creation Research 1-619-448-0900. Evaluation of these new theories is taking a long time, and the final revision of this chapter should be available soon. Those of you who are interested can contact me for other references.
